Environment
The giant anteater lives in Central South America. It lives in the Amazon rainforest on the forest floor. All of the trees in the upper layers of the rainforest make the forest floor very humid. It is also very dark on the forest floor becuase all of the trees block out the sun. Anteaters are important to their environment because they control the amounts of ants and termites thus protecting trees and making sure that too many termites do not destroy a forest.
